Fly Away Home

Just re-watched this movie for the first time in years.
Beautiful cinematography.

Hope Gangloff

Hope Gangloff has a new show up at Susan Inglett Gallery here in nyc.
I love seeing her paintings up because they are these amazing, large-scale painted snapshots. Her lines, colors and patterns are awesome up-close.

"Yesterday, I came across Cédric not far from my house, just like this, looking all cool and reading his paperback in the sun. Of course, I started talking to him in my totally fluent angleeesh, and of course, it didn’t take him more than a second to ask me, 'Tu es française?'"
The rest of the story is just beautiful...
avocado television

all i'd like right now is 3 massive avocados. 1 tomato. onions. salt. 1 bag of tostitos. and a day full of guacamole-eating while I laze on the couch watching hours of some awful but equally amazing television series.

Changing Seasons

It's becoming winter already! Snow in New England? A freezing apartment and no heat?! I hope it lets up so there is more time for hot apple cider, picnics in central park with the changing leaves and pumpkin carving on the rooftop!
Home to Connecticut this weekend to pick some apples, cozy up by the fireplace, and see old friends. I need to escape studio work, the busy city and the drizzly sidewalks.

George Tavern, London

how fun to live above an old school bar, make coffee downstairs in the morning and paint and sculpt during the afternoon upstairs. the regulars show up at 5, getting a pint before they head home for dinner.
