I started sitting on my fire-escape recently, after dragging the ac out of the window. I love sitting out there, watching the world go by. There are groups of pigeons that will excitedly fly up through the intersection into the sky. It is also great when people sitting on the top of the tour buses realize there is someone out on a fire-escape. They start waving and/or snapping photos. Fifteen minutes of fame?
