I am also a bit of a ring lover. Every year I buy so many at the Umbrella Factory, in RI (seriously, best place on the face of the earth.) I end up loosing most of them within a few months. There are countless rings drifting in the sands of the ocean off the coast of Rhode Island and Cape Cod.. Block Island got one of my favorites one year, a thumb ring with a green stone in the center...
I have held on to the one on my ring finger now for a while. more than 6 months! I think it's a record. It even stayed with me through my travels all over Europe. This baby's here to stay.
