April First
I cannot sleep for the life of me! (I am not starting April out on a very good note...) This photo was taken in France last fall. The robot mask was part of my friend's halloween costume (and we would roam around the studio each trying it on...) that she made completely by hand out of cardboard boxes and tinfoil. She even had a "party hat" for when she wanted to show her face after the initial costume display. It was very space age, made of a small box that sat crookedly on her head and two antennas coming out. It was very pill box, Jackie O. in style. Goodness, I miss those days.
(it is still saying march, but by the time on the massive clock over the fireplace, it is definitely the wee hours of the first of april)

Beatrix Potter
I just watched the movie Miss Potter. Beautiful! I have all of her little books lined up on a shelf back home. I do love the Jemima Puddle-Duck a whole lot! Her bonnet and shawl are pretty spectacular.
Breakfast Beauties
I think mornings are splendid. I am a fan of all sorts of them.
The 'early sunday mornings with a run out for coffee and the paper, followed by a big breakfast of pancakes with a household of guests is always a favorite of mine. It's fun when you have an expert pan-cake flipper and everyone is buzzing around the kitchen, chit-chatting and setting the table.
Zoe Pawlak
These portraits are just a sampling of the beautiful work by Canadian Artist Zoe Pawlak. She paints lovely landscapes as well that make the earth and sky look almost appetizing. My friend Jorge recently acquired one of her pieces and it such a Gem!

Housedresses
I really do love clotheslines. These are being auctioned on ebay! 30 beautiful house dresses from the 1930s.
Dreaming of summer when a pretty flower print dress and sunglasses will suffice. I remember my grandmother sitting on the back porch shelling peas and peeling potatoes in dresses much like these ones. She would wear white keds and have gorgeous old-school music playing. With lemonade ready for us when we came back from racing around the neighborhood. (sounds a bit cliche, but there really is nothing like a good childhood cliche!)

Laundry Day
I desperately don't want to go downstairs to get my laundry. Maybe if I could hang it on a clothing line in Venice or Barbados I would be more inclined to.
