My friend Kim introduced me to Mr. Cole's work a few weeks ago, after running into him on the street outside of school (he is very down-to-earth, and they talked about how amazing each other's hair is.)
I am very interested in the work he makes, among many others, using irons and burning canvas. It is visually stunning.He takes the concept of printmaking to a whole new level as well as creates an important historical dialogue.
(He has a sculpture piece up at the new 'Museum of Art and Design' at Columbus Circle. The show, Secondary Lives, is wonderful)
